RISON - Tee Miller and NaKayla Washington both scored nine points apiece in the first quarter as the Rison Lady Wildcats took control early in a 48-10 romp over the Helena Lady Cougars in an 8-3A conference game last Friday in the Rison Gym.Rison took a 19-0 lead at the end of the opening period as Miller had four field goals with a free throw to score nine points while Washington had a field goal, a 3-pointer and made four-of-five free throw attempts.Meanwhile, Carlese Johnson got hot in the second quarter to nine points as the Lady ‘Cats went up 38-2 at halftime. The running clock was invoked for the second half.Miller led Rison with 14 points followed by Washington with 11 and Johnson with 10. None of the three scored in the second half as Lady Wildcat Coach Lisa Jester went to her reserves to close out the game.Rison improved to 10-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play....
