Lady Bears Drop Two After Knocking Off White Hall Saturday

WARREN -Warren strung together five of their eight hits in the fourth inning to score four runs as the Lady Lumberjacks erased an early two-run deficit to knock off the Woodlawn Lady Bears, 7-3, in Warren Monday afternoon.The Lady Bears got off to a nice start, using a lead-off walk by Lily White, a single from Kathryn Dixon and a one-out hit from Lillie Faye McWhorter to plate the first run. Maci Harrison's sacrifice fly scored Dixon to make it 2-0.Warren loaded the bases in the third off a walk, an error and a hit batter before a two-out double brought all three runners home to put the Lady 'Jacks in front 3-2.Woodlawn tied the game 3-3 in the top of the third when lead off singles by Harrison and Laci Rauls put two aboard before Harrison scored on a two-out error.Warren went back in front for good when three singles and two doubles plated four runs to make 7-3.Rauls was the starting pitcher for the Lady Bears. She gave up one hit and one walk while striking out nine over three innings. Karsyn Chastain followed her for the next two innings, giving up five hits and no walks with two strikeouts.
