Two With Ties To County Will Compete for Miss Arkansas

RISON -   Two cousins with deep Cleveland County roots are set to grace the stage at this year’s Miss Arkansas pageant set for June 7–14 at the Robinson Center in Little Rock. Savannah Grace Brown and Alli Beth King, both granddaughters of Bruce and Kay Brown of the Pansy community, will proudly represent their titles—and their hometowns. Savannah Brown, 21, is making her first appearance at Miss Arkansas as Miss Mt. Nebo. The daughter of Chris and Marche’ Brown of Pansy, she’s a graduate of Star City High School and now studies elementary education at Arkansas Tech University. At ATU, she’s a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, serves on the Panhellenic Council, and has welcomed new students as an orientation leader. Savannah’s platform is “Breast Cancer Education – Early Detection Saves Lives,” and she’ll sing “How Great Thou Art” for her talent. She’s also the granddaughter of Densil and Joy Stewart of Warren.Alli Beth King, 22, is stepping onto the Miss Arkansas stage for the third time, this year as Miss Boomtown. She is the daughter of Davy and Kim Kaye King of Rison and an honor graduate of Rison High School. Alli Beth earned her communications degree from Arkansas Tech in 2024, where she was a member of the dance team, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Student Government Association. She’s now pursuing a career in cosmetology at The Salon Professional Academy and after graduation will be employed at Salon 2121 in Little Rock where she is currently interning. Her platform, “It Starts with One – Encouraging Others to Volunteer,” speaks to her love of giving back. She’ll tap dance to “See See Rider” by Elvis Presley for talent. Alli Beth is also the granddaughter of DeAnna King of Rison and the late Larry King and the late Wanda Clay. From sisterhood to service, these hometown girls are ready to make Cleveland County proud!...
