RISON - This Friday, Fourth of July festivities will take place at the Pioneer Village at Rison and Green House Cottages.
Beginning at 7 p.m. the Village will offer free hot dogs, homemade ice cream and watermelon.
Kingsland native and country music artist Laura Caroline will give a free concert as well.
The event at the Fourth of July takes the place of the Village’s Food Truck Friday partnership with Rison Shine for this week.
While no food trucks are scheduled for Friday, July 4, Rison Farmers Market vendors are still invited to set up at 7 p.m. at the Village.
The next regular-scheduled Food Truck Friday and Farmers Market will be Friday, July 18.
The July 4 activities at the Village will lead up to the fireworks display next door at the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills, expected to take place at dusk Friday evening.
