LETTER TO EDITOR
We kicked off our Local 2025 Christmas Campaign Saturday, September 13 at the Dallas County Fair in Fordyce, Arkansas. We enjoyed the copious amounts of sunshine, being in the parade, and also handing out items at our booth like stickers, pens, and pencils to youth while eliciting numerous smiles. Thank you to all those that came by and brought something for us to share with at-risk youth and youth-in-need, 0-18, in our local communities. "Because, every child deserves a little Christmas." We also want to say congratulations to Kymberly Yarnell of Rison. This was her first official event since aging out of the USMCR Toys for Tots Youth Ambassador Program and acting in her new capacity as the Assistant Toys for Tots Coordinator in order to serve youth of Cleveland, Dallas, Jefferson, and Lincoln Counties of Arkansas. She is an amazing young woman who has a heart for Jesus and others, always displaying J.O.Y. to others. She enjoys community service and desires to make a positive impact on the lives of the youth and their families in our area. Our next event is the Cleveland County Fair in Rison next week, September 16-20. We will have an info booth and collection box setup. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy, book, bike, trike, puzzle, game, or other meaningful donation by our booth. We will also have a QR code available for those that wish to make a financial contribution.Do you need community service volunteer hours for graduation? Do you like helping younger children smile? Service opportunities include such things as helping man booths, greeting people kindly with a smile and encouraging them to have a wonderful day, handing out items to youngsters, collecting donations, and putting together requests for area agencies and churches, which, in turn, help youth in our local communities. If you, your group, or your business woul...
