In his new role, Austin will assume a more defined leadership position overseeing the day-to-day hospital operations and practice management, building on his extensive experience and contributions to the health system.Austin’s history with Jefferson Regional dates back to 2012 when he joined as Vice President of the Physician Practice Network. After a period with Piedmont Health System in Athens, Georgia, he returned to Jefferson Regional in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer following a nationwide search. Since his return, Austin has been instrumental in expanding the hospital's physician network to its current size and scope.Throughout his tenure, Austin has been recognized for his outstanding leadership and mentorship within the hospital. "Peter is an exceptional leader who has been instrumental in the growth of Jefferson Regional in South Arkansas.
