RISON - Updated hours have been announced at the Cleveland County Solid Waste Transfer Station on Hwy. 79 at Rison.Beginning, Nov. 10, the Transfer Station is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and on the first and third Saturdays of the month 7:30 a.m -12 p.m.Anyone using the transfer station needs to check with the attendant before dumping.In addition to accepting household waste, the transfer station can also accept other items as well. The county has several recycling areas set up at the transfer station to accept scrap aluminum, metal, cardboard, shredded paper, newspapers and magazines.
