Halloween Events Planned For Rison, New Edinburg, Kingsland This Week

RISON - Halloween-themed events will take place this week across the county with opportunities for tricks, treats and scares.Rison Shine Community Development, Inc. and the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills will kick things off Thursday, Oct. 30 with Trunk-or-Treat and a Fall Fest at the Cottages at 6 p.m.This year, rather than setting up trunks on Main Street downtown, Rison Shine is moving the trunks to the drive of the Cottages. Carnival games include zombie ducks, balloon popping and more for chances to win prizes.Admission to Haunted Trail portion of the event is $10 per person. The event serves as a joint fundraiser for the Pioneer Village and Rison Shine Community Development. On Friday night, Oct. 31, Re-New-ing Edinburg will host its annual Halloween fall festival drive-thru event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the New Edinburg Community Center.Kingsland will also host a Trunk-or-Treat from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 on First Street across from Kingsland First Baptist Church....
