RISON - Rison Shine Community Development, Inc. will host the Cleveland County Christmas Parade Thursday, Dec. 11 beginning at 7 p.m.
The parade will begin in Downtown Rison with floats lining up along Pine and First Streets before making its way South on Main Street. The parade route will go from Main Street through the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills drive and end at the Pioneer Village on Yaney Drive.
Gateway Bank will sponsor prizes for the best floats and bicycles in the parade. Prizes are $100 for first place, $75 for second place, $50 for third place and $25 for fifth place. Prizes for bikes are $25, $20 and $10 for first, second and third places.
At the conclusion of the parade, Santa will mingle at the final night of the Christmas in the Village for cookies and cocoa. The Rison Starz Dance Academy will also perform a holiday showcase.
