Johnny Cash Day Celebrated at Capitol on 94th Birthday

LITTLE ROCK - On his birthday, the State Capitol Rotunda served as the setting to honor the life and legacy of Arkansas’s own Johnny Cash on what would have been his 94th birthday. Cash was born at the Cross Roads Community near Kingland to Ray and Carrie Rivers Cash on February 26, 1932.Through Act 916 of 2021, February 26 is annually recognized by Arkansas as “John R. ‘Johnny Cash Day’,” commemorating the extraordinary impact he made on Arkansas, the nation, and the world through his music.District 36 State Rep.
