RISON - Riley Hyatt smashed three triples as the Rison Lady Wildcats won their third straight game with a 5-3 victory over the Class 4A Crossett Lady Eagles in non-conference action Monday at Lady Wildcat Field.Hyatt started the fireworks early as her first three-base shot in the top of the first scored Jazlyn Price, who had led off with a double. Hyatt then scored onRhagen Price’s ground out to give the Lady ‘Cats a 2-0 lead.Crossett answered with a run in the top of the second to cut it to 2-1, but a couple of singles by Mackenzie King and Ellisa Summar in the fourth added another run to give Rison a 3-1 lead.The Lady Eagles scored a run in the fifth to make it 3-2 but the Lady Wildcats responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame. Kendyl Eans led off with a triple and then scored on a double by Jazlyn Price. Hyatt had her third triple to bring in another run to make it 5-2.Crossett scored its final run off a double in the top of the seventh.Rison had eight hits with six of those going for extra bases. In addition to three triples from Hyatt and one from Eans, Jazlyn Price finished with two doubles. Summar and King also had hits.Railyn Smith started for the Lady ‘Cats and got the pitching win. She gave up seven hits and four walks over four innings.
