Rison Shine, Freedom Assembly Raising Money for School Supplies
RISON - Food Truck Friday and Farmers Market will be returning to the Pioneer Village in Rison beginning Friday, June 5, the day before the Cruisin’ Cleveland County bike ride and car show will be held at the same location.The Rison Shine community development group outlined its summer plans during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday. Food Truck Friday will be entering its third season this year. The event, held every other Friday at the Pioneer Village, features a couple of food trucks in addition to a dessert vendor, live entertainment and a farmers market.Booth space to the farmers market is free. Those planning to have a booth will need to bring their own canopy, table and chairs. Spaces are open to anyone wanting to sell produce, cottage foods (baked goods, etc.) or hand-crafted items.The first Food Truck Friday will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 5. There is no admission fee to attend.Organizers said during the meeting that they are looking for new food trucks to attend the event. Anyone interested or anyone with suggestions can contact Douglas Boultinghouse at (870) 325-6412.Malinda Berry, one of the organizers of the Cruisin’ Cleveland County bike ride and car show, said free vendor space will also be offered to local non-profits during the event on Saturday morning, June 6, at the Pioneer Village.
