The U.S. Small Business Administration is reminding eligible small businesses and private nonprofits organizations impacted by the excessive rain, flash flooding, hail, and high winds occurring April 3 throug July 21, 2025, to apply for low-interest federal economic injury disaster loans before the deadline.
The loans are available for businesses and organizations in Cleveland, Arkansas, Grant, Jefferson, Lee, Lincoln, Lonoke, Monroe, Phillips, Prairie, Pulaski, St. Francis, and Woodruff counties.
Those entities eligible include small businesses, private nonprofits and faith-based organizations, small agricultural cooperatives and small aquaculture enterprises.
Loan assistance will be available through the Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), which provides working capital assistance for operational expenses caused by the disaster.
Up to $2 million in loan funding is available with interest rates as low as 4 percent for small businesses and 3.625 percent for private nonprofit organizations. Loan terms are up to 30 years with no interest or required payments during the first 12 months following disbursement.
