Woodlawn School’s nearly $1.23 million cafeteria expansion remains on schedule, with construction underway on a nearly 2,800-square-foot addition. The project will add dining space, a second serving line and kitchen storage, allowing the school to reduce the number of lunch periods and provide more reasonable meal times. A temporary wall has been installed to separate the cafeteria from construction.
The school board also approved transferring any year-end general fund surplus above $588,168.08 to the building fund.
Other actions included changes to Booster Club bylaws, moving the fall holiday to Nov. 16, applying for school safety and tutoring grants, approving volunteer coaches and cross-country funding, and four student transfers.
