RISON - Anyone visiting the Cleveland County Solid Waste Transfer Station on Hwy. 79 at Rison will notice some changes taking place and some temporary changes in where trash can be dumped.
Construction is currently underway (see background) on two covers that will go over the two roll-off bins where people usually dump general household trash. During the construction process, household waste will dumped in the bin located next to the scrap metal bin (seen on the right of this photo).
A new cover for the scrap metal bin can be seen in this photo. The new covers are being added to keep the transfer station in compliance with Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) regulations.
