BALLOT DRAW - Woodlawn High School Student Council President Isabelle Vinson (right), a senior, pulls a name from a bowl held by John Appleget (center) of the Cleveland County Election Commission during the general election ballot draw Monday afternoon in the county courthouse. The draw determines the order the candidates will appear on the ballot in each contested race on the 2022 general election ballot in November. The draw was for federal, state and local races. County Clerk Jimmy Cummings has made it a point to invite a student representative from each of the county’s two high schools, Rison and Woodlawn, to conduct the ballot draw before each election. Cummings said a representative from Rison High School drew the names before the primary election in May.
