RISON - The Rison Wildcats broke an eight-game losing streak last Friday with a 58-45 victory over the Gurdon Go Devils in 8-2A conference action at Gurdon.
The Wildcats improved to 2-6 in league play and 2-9 overall with the victory. Rison knocked off Gurdon, 70-45, in their other meeting at Rison on Dec. 9.
It was the third game the 'Cats played in a four-day span last week. Rison lost back-to-back games against Junction City, falling 68-30 last Tuesday at home and then 63-24 last Thursday on the road.
