Bracey Signs With Williams Baptist

Shermyah Bracey (center, seated) signed a national letter of intent Tuesday to play basketball for the Williams Baptist University Lady Eagles. The NAIA program located in Walnut Ridge finished 19-11 overall this year and advanced to the American Midwest Conference tournament semifinals before falling to Columbia (Mo.) College. Rison Coach Seth Taylor said Bracey, a guard, played varsity basketball for four seasons for the Lady Wildcats, averaging more than 5 points per game over the span. During her career, he said averaged 85 assists, 45 steals and more than 50 rebounds per year. She was an All-Conference selection for three years, an All-Star nominee in 2022, and made the All State Tournament Team this year. Joining her for the signing were family and coaches.
