Woodlawn 4-H Students Complete Projects

5TH GRADE 4-H Woodlawn in-school club had their first community project this year and the students collected food to donate to the Center Missionary Baptist Church food Pantry that helps feed families here in Cleveland County. UADA Extension Agent Danielle Watson would like to thank the 5th grade youth and teachers Mrs. Heather Reynolds and Destiny Phillips on giving back to your community.

6TH GRADE 4-H in school club has been busy collecting caps to donate to the ABC Promise Program. This program permits youth to learn more about caring for the earth and green living within their communities. The caps and lids collected are transposed into a bench or table that will &e placed at the Woodlawn school for people to see and acknowledge their acts of community service. So far, they have collected 140 pounds worth of recycled caps and lids. Tuesday will &e their last day to collect and then they will do a final sort and weighing of the caps. They are hoping to have 200 pounds worth, so they are able to receive two benches. UADA Extension Agent Danielle Watson would like to thank the 6th grade Woodlawn 4-H youth and teachers Ms. Katie Smith and Mrs. Carrie West on giving &ack to the Woodlawn community.
