Fredrick Rainey Sought After Pursuit Accident Injures Two Fordyce Officers

EDITOR'S NOTE/UPDATE: Dallas County Sheriff Mike Knoedl reported through a Facebook post at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, that Fredrick Rainey, the suspect involved in a police pursuit that resulted in two Fordyce police officers being injured, was now in custody!  He was arrested after hiding in an apartment in Warren.  Rainey was being transported to the jail in Fordyce. RISON - A man convicted of felony crimes in Cleveland County in 2013 is believed to be the same person who eluded capture after two Fordyce police officers were seriously injured in an accident that ended the pursuit in Bradley County. Dallas County Sheriff Mike Knoedl posted a message and photo on his Facebook page Tuesday morning asking for help in finding Fredrick Rainey, 53, for felony fleeing. He was suspected of being the driver of the car that fled from Fordyce Police that initiated the pursuit. Cleveland County Sheriff Jack Rodgers said Rainey, the suspect, is the same man that was convicted on criminal charges and sentenced to prison for crimes that occurred inside the county in February 2012. Rainey, who was a resident of the New Edinburg when he was arrested for those crimes, was convicted in Cleveland County Circuit Court in August 2013 on two counts of breaking and entering (Class D felony), and one count of theft of property (Class C felony). He was sentenced to 16 years in prison for each count and was ordered to serve them consecutively. According to the Saline River Chronilce website at Warren, the Fordyce Police Department officers pursued the suspect from Fordyce into Bradley County. The pursuit came to an end when the officers wrecked into the suspect's vehicle along Bradley County 17 about four miles west of the Bradley County Park at Warren.
