PINE BLUFF - Ms. Rachel M. Will graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) in the Department of Human Sciences on Saturday, May 6, 2023, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.
Ms. Will has a cumulative GPA of 3.212. Ms. Will has two research projects that she has worked on during the 2022 and 2023 school years. She participates in the Food Justice Academy, where she will present her research on Obesity.
Ms. Will’s research proposal was accepted to present at the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) in Baltimore Maryland. She will present her work at the AAFCS conference titled “The Unanswered Questions on Covid-19 in the African American Communities.” Recently she entered her childhood obesity research at the 106th Annual Arkansas Academy of Science Meeting and the 33rd UAPB Annual Student-Faculty Research Forum and she received second place.
She is a student representative for the National Coalition of Black Development in Family and Consumer Sciences (NCBDFCS), a student board member for Kappa Omicron Nu, and student President for the Human Development and Families Studies (HDFS) and Human Science clubs. During the Spring 2023 semester, Ms. Will joined the Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority Incorporated organization.
Upon graduation from (UAPB), she will pursue her master’s degree at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in Human Development and Family Studies. She plans to pursue her doctoral degree in the future.
