Richard Lamar Boykin, 76, of Pine Bluff, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 1, 1946 in Bastrop, Louisiana, to the late John Boykin and Frances Lillian Martin.
Richard loved being outdoors, and enjoyed working in the yard, hunting and fishing. He was a talented taxidermist, that could bring any animal to life, and had a house full of his trophies. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Doyce Boykin.
Survivors include his wife, Vonda Thomas Boykin; children, David Boykin (Jennifer), and Deborah Jonio; grandchildren, Ashley Herring (Blake), Hunter, Baleigh and Matthew Boykin; great-grandchild, Braxton Herring; siblings, Kenneth Tate, Sue Tate, Ann Tate, Terry Tate, Donnie Tate, and Bobbie Boykin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Palmyra.
Arrangements were by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
