Jakes Day Taking Donations For Outdoor Items Drawing

RISON - The Cleveland County Cutters & Strutters Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is currently taking donations to help fund prizes to be given away at its Jakes Day event scheduled for March 2, 2024, at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Rison. Jakes Day is an event designed to get youth interested in the outdoors. The Cutters & Strutters are currently accepting donations for chances to win one of two Lazyman deer stands, a .243 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, a 20gauge shotgun, a .22 rifle, a scope from Thermal Optics Plus, and one night's cabin rental along the Caddo River near Glenwood. Each chance is a $5 donation or five chances for $20. The Cutters & Strutters will also have a booth at Rison in the Fall taking donations. Also, the organization is accepting used rods and reels, and other outdoor equipment that can be part of the giveaway for youth.
