RISON - Sophia Paige White, a kindergartener at Rison Elementary, competed in Virginia Beach at a national pageant held Sept. 1-3.
Sophia, a dance student at Rison Starz Dance Academy, won the talent division with her dance to 'Sugar Pie Honey Bunch' and placed second runner-up in photogenic and in fitness. She also won the people's choice award.
She is the daughter of Ricky and Dakota Harris, and granddaughter of Anthony and Suzanne Kirkpatrick, and Tony and Shawn Rushing.
