David and Aundi Shopher, and Davy and Kim Kaye King, are delighted to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children Christina Cheyenne Shopher and Grant Russell King.
Christie is a 2020 graduate of McGehee High School and is currently enrolled in the nursing program at UAM and a prospective May 2024 graduate. She will graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Christie is currently employed at Delta Health Services in Dumas. Christie is a member of First Baptist Church in McGehee. She is the daughter of David and Aundi Shopher of McGehee. She is the granddaughter of Bill Schwartz of Harrison She is also the granddaughter of the late Vincent and Gloria Troia, the late Donald Shopher, and the late Anna Schwartz.
Grant is a 2018 graduate of Rison High School and a 2022 graduate of UAM with a Bachelor's of Science in biology and chemistry. Grant is currently enrolled at Harding University School of Pharmacy. He is a prospective December 2024 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He is currently employed at Medic Sav-on Drug Pharmacy in Searcy. Grant is a member of Rison Baptist Church. Grant is the son of Davy and Kim Kaye King of Rison. He is the grandson of Larry and DeAnna King of Rison, Bruce and Kay Brown of Pansy, and the late Wanda Clay.
Grant and Christie will exchange vows on December 30, 2023 at 3 p.m., at Wilson's Ridge in Monticello. All friends and family are invited to attend. The couple will make their home in Rison.
