AVERIE SKELTON, an 11th grader at Rison High School was named December student of the month for grades 10-12. Averie is the daughter of Sandy and Scott Miller, and the granddaughter of Clarise and Dale Payne, and Larry Smith. She has five siblings, Sissy, Mackenzie, Shelly, Justin and Josh.
LAURA LUCAS, an 8th grader at Rison Middle School was named December Student of the Month for grades 7-9. She is the daughter of Johnny and Katie Howard, and the granddaughter of Linda Adams and Beckey Howard. She has two siblings, Ethan and Savannah. Her activities and honors include FFA, Beta, hanging out with friends, spending time with family and listening to music.
