RISON - First-year Rison boys basketball coach Eli Dawson picked up his first victory last Friday when his Wildcats blew out the Gurdon Go Devils, 52-35, inside the Rison gym.
The Wildcats’ victory broke a 17-game losing skid, making them 1-7 in 8-2A conference play and 1-17 overall.
Rison dropped its other two conference games last week, losing 83-23 at Junction City and 73-38 at Woodlawn.
