Janis Kay Wilson Fore, 82, of Niceville, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2024.
She was born in Little Rock on July 25, 1941 to the late Jeeter Eugene Wilson and Jan Richards Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Schultz.
Kay attended Central High School in Little Rock, Little Rock University, and graduated from Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia in 1962. She taught grades one through three in Little Rock, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Germany, Fort Hood, Texas, Fort Benning, Georgia and Fairfax County, Virginia. Kay loved teaching and her students loved "Miss Kay". Even while teaching, she found time to support her husband as a dedicated Army wife.
She was a member of Rison Baptist Church, Rison, Arkansas and attended the Church on Bayshore in Niceville.
Kay is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rex; two daughters, Lisa of Colorado Springs and Susan Milligan and husband Jeff of Little Rock; two grandsons, Ben Milligan and Mikey Milligan; one brother, Rickey Fore and wife Diane of Rison.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison.Visitation will be at 1 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike McGough and Bro. Wade Totty will officiate the service.
