RISON - Harmony Grove converted five errors and a triple in the top of the seventh inning into five runs as the Lady Hornets rallied late to come away with a 14-12 victory over the Rison Lady Wildcats in a wild nonconference game Tuesday at Lady Wildcat Field.The game had three huge momentum swings with Harmony Grove coming back from a fiverun deficit to take a 9-5 lead only to have Rison battle back with a huge inning to go back up 12-9. That set the state for the Lady Hornets seventh-inning explosion.A RBI double by Josey Edwards in the first inning and another RBI double by Layne Potter in the second gave Rison an early 2-0 lead. MacKenzie King then delivered a two-out, bases-loaded double that drove in three more in the bottom of the third to give the Lady Wildcats a commanding 5-0 lead.That's when the errors began to haunt Rison.A lead-off error followed by double put the Lady Hornets in scoring position to start the fourth. A fly ball scored one run and a single brought another one home to cut it to 5-2.In the top of the fifth, a single followed by an error scored one more run for Harmony Grove, and then a bases-loaded error scored two more make it 5-5. That error was followed by a walk and a single, and then another error scored two more runs. The Lady Hornets added another score off a single beforethe inning finally came to a close with Harmony Grove up 9-5.The Lady 'Cats got a run back in the bottom of the fifth when Rison put two runners aboard off Harmony Grove errors and King then stroked her second double of the game to drive in a run. Rison regained the lead with six runs in the bottom of the sixth Breanna Taylor led off with a single for the Lady 'Cats and Edwards followed with a double to put runners at second and third.
