Ellen Louise Reed, 85, of Stuttgart, formally of Rison, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. She was born January 29, 1939 in Altheimer, Arkansas to the late Howard and Ula Pipkin Smith. Ellen was a homemaker, she loved taking care of her family, her home and her friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to church, and being outdoors. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Carl Reed, daughter, Tracey Guffey, and by her brother, Gene Smith.She is survived by her children, Carl Reed II (Ruamporn), Amy Hall (Jonathan), and Cyndi Drye (Shane), grandchildren, Jamie Guffey, Paige Tallie, Hayden Reed, Chris Drye, Caleb Hall, and Nickie Hall,great grandchildren, Julia Crutchfield, Fredrick Brandon, Rhett Tallie, and Jemma Hall, and by her siblings, John Smith and Dee Coker, and many other family and friends.Graveside services were September 27, 2024 at Varnell Cemetery in Rison.Arrangements by Buie & Cole Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
