Gerald Alan Barnett, 62, of Rison, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born in Rison to the late Firman Barnett, and the late Doris Lucille (Rogers) Barnett.
His memories will be cherished by daughter, Charnetta Jones of Pine Bluff; brothers, Vernon Barnett and Ricky Barnett, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sisters, Linda Turner-Crain of Little Rock, and Janice Mathis of Rison.
He was an All-State football player for the Rison Wildcats in 1978, and continued to be the a vocal supporter of the Wildcats after graduation.
Funeral service was Saturday, September 2, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Rison by Rev. Terry Reams. Interment was in Liberty Hill Cemetery at Rison, by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
