Mary Catherine Eldridge, 65, of the Rowell community, went home to be with the Lord, October 17, 2025, after a lengthy illness, she was surrounded by her family. 

Born December 17, 1959, to the late Harry Phelps and Mary Alice McDaniel Phelps.

Known by many as Cathy, she was of a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. She received her education from Woodlawn High School. She will be remembered for her quick wit and humor. There was never a shortage of laughter when you were in her presence. She loved cooking for her family and trying new recipes, from the cooking shows she loved to watch. She showed her love in creating magic during the holidays by making treats and crafts, especially for the ones who called her Grammy and Mama. She retired from being a floral designer. She loved doing flowers and had a God given talent that could not be matched.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Paternal grandparents James Royce Phelps and Velma Reed Phelps. Maternal grandparents Letha May and Joe McDaniel. A brother Donald Phelps, and a granddaughter Whitley Young.

She is survived by her loving husband Michael Eldridge. Son Brad Young (Karla), Daughter Sarah Slaughter (James), Daughter Miranda Tucker (Joseph), Son Matt Eldridge (Kandi), Daughter Melissa Tumbleson (Mitchell), Seven Grandchildren, Brenna Young, Hudgin Young, Paisley Slaughter, Tinley Tumbelson, Brody Tumbleson, Beckett Eldridge, and Kendyl Lehr. A niece Lexie Phelps, and a sister-in-law Stephanie Phelps.

Graveside services will be Wednesday October 22, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Rowel Cemetery, with Bro. Doney Blackerby officiating.
