Vonda Jarrell

Vonda Jo Jarrell, 75 of Star City, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at her home. She was born November 3, 1946 in Dermott to the late Tracey and Aminell Davis Valentine. She was a faithful member of Overcoming Faith Worship Center in Star City; was a self-employed beautician and was a seamstress for National Wire. She loved her family, was a hard worker, was a league bowler, and in her younger years she rode in the rodeo, doing barrel racing and pole bending. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Timmy Valentine; and 2 sisters, Judy Baxter and Brenda Leopard. Survivors include her husband, Winfred Lynn Jarrell of Star City; 2 daughters, Linnea Alt of Junction City, KS and Tonya (Clay) Nealy of Grand Prairie, TX; brother, Chuck (Brenda) Valentine of Woodlawn; 4 sisters, Charlotte (Henry) Lunsford of Clinton, Gale Collins of Wichita, KS, Tammy (Blue) Murphy of Pine Bluff, and Regina (Barry) Huddelston of New Edinburg; 2 grandchildren, Chad and Cassie; and 2 great-grandchildren.
