Bears With 20th as Regular Season Winds Down

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn Bears picked up their 20th win of the season Tuesday night with a 72-53 win over the Ouachita Warriors in an 8-2A conference matchup inside the Woodlawn Gym.Game details were not available at press time. The Bears improved to 20-8 overall and 11-4 in league play with the win.Woodlawn is currently third in the 8-2A standings as the regular winds down this week in the district tournament set for next week. The Bears are a game back of Junction City (12-3) and two games behind league-leading Hampton (13-1). Poyen, which swept Woodlawn during the regular season, is a game behind the Bears at 10-5.Woodlawn Coach Logan Adair said the Bears could finish anywhere from second to fourth in the final standings based on how the remaining games play out.Hampton finishes the regular season with tough road games at Junction City on Thursday and Woodlawn on Friday.
