Bears Whip Spring Hill; Win Kirby Tournament

SPRING HILL - Woodlawn used a strong second quarter as a springboard for an even stronger second half as the Bears overwhelmed the Spring Hill Bears, 66-33, in a non-conference road game last Friday.Woodlawn was up 13-11 at the end of the first quarter when the Bears put together a 14-2 second quarter build a 27-13 halftime lead. The visiting Bears then stretched that to a 49-23 advantage at the end of the third quarter before going up by 30 in the fourth to invoke a running clock.Jude Roberts led a balanced Woodlawn scoring attack with 16 points followed by Jake Allred and Jack Lephiew with eight apiece. Ethan Saeler had six and Spencer Towery had five. Woodlawn Coach Logan Adair said Evan Donnell saw some limited action for the first time since Thanksgiving when he was able to play a few minutes in the fourth quarter, scoring five points.
