WOODLAWN - Rose Bud used its size advantage to control all phases of the game as the Junior Ramblers handed the Woodlawn Junior Bears a 52-14 loss to open their season last Friday at Woodlawn.The Junior Ramblers used a 38-yard run, a 10-yard pass and a 41-yard pass to build a 24-0 lead before Woodlawn's Griffin Manes ripped off a 83-yard kickoff return to put the Junior Bears on the board. Woodlawn's two-point attempt was stopped, leaving it 24-6.Manes proved to be a playmaker for Woodlawn after averaging better than 50 years per kick return before Rose Bud began kicking away from him. Manes did not see much playing time in the game after being banged up on his first return. Rose Bud had two a 46-yard touchdown runs and a 20-yard scoring pass to make it 46-6.Woodlawn's final score came when 7th grade quarterback Grayson Jones hit 8th grader Eli Smith for a 24-yard touchdown pass in the second half. Another 7th grader, Remy Horner, ran in the two-point conversion to make it 46-14.Rose Bud's final touchdown came off a 20-yard run....
