Laci Rauls pitched a no-hitter and had 16 strikeouts as the Woodlawn Lady Bears blanked the East Poinsett County Lady Warriors, 6-0, in the first game of the Class 2A State Softball Tournament hosted by Palestine-Wheatley High School. The Lady Bears took a 2-0 lead in the first before adding their final four runs in the sixth, three of which came with two out.
The Lady Bears will faced the Cotter Lady Warriors at 3 p.m. todaty (Friday, May 15) in the state quarterfinals. Should they win, they will play the Quitman-Riverside winner at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at Palestine-Wheatley High School.
