HARMONY GROVE - Carlie Crain's grand slam homerun in the fourth inning helped power the Rison Lady Wildcats to a 132 victory over the Harmony Grove Lady Hornets in non-conference action Monday afternoon at Harmony Grove.It was Rison's second consecutive game to win by the 10-run rule. The Lady Wildcats used a lead-off single in the top of the second by Josey Edwards to set up the first run of the game when her courtesy runner, Rhagen Price, scored on a follow-up grounder by MacKenzie King.Riley Hyatt then started the third inning with a triple before scoring on a fly by Amelia Stewart, making it 2-0 Rison.Crain then delivered her big slammer after singles by Carlese Johnson, Edwards and Haven Simpson had loaded the bases in the fourth to extend the Lady Wildcats' lead to 6-0.The Lady Hornets answered with runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings to make it 6-2 before Rison broke the game open.After a pop fly started the top of the sixth for the Lady 'Cats, Simpson and Crain had back-toback hits before Hyatt drew a walk to load the bases. Amelia Stewart then singled to drive in a run, an error added one more and a ground out by Breanna Taylor plated two more to make it 10-2.Another error led to another score, and Edwards then smashed a double to score a run and King followed with an RBI single to make it 13-2.Harmony Grove failed to score in the bottom of the sixth and the game ended by the 10run rule.Rison had 10 hits in the game with Edwards going 3-for-4 with a double. Crain, Simpson and Stewart all had two hits apiece with Crain picking up four RBIs on her grand slam.Johnson, King and Hyatt also had hits.Edwards got the pitching victory after scattering four hits and one walk over the first three and two-third innings.
