McGEHEE - After scoring just four points in regulation, McGehee’s Kyra Lewis hit a couple of field goals in overtime to lift the Lady Owls to a 44-41 win over the Rison Lady Wildcats last Tuesday night in 8-3A conference action at McGehee.It was nip-and-tuck throughout the game as Rison went into halftime with a 22-21 lead before McGehee nudged ahead in the third to take a 33-32 advantage into the final frame.The Lady Wildcats were able to pull back in front during the fourth quarter but McGehee scored late to make it 39-39 and send it into overtime. Rison, however, managed just a single basket in the extra period as Lewis’ two field goals were enough to give the Lady Owls the win.Rison also dropped another 8-3A conference game Tuesday night at Monticello, falling to the Drew Central Lady Pirates, 43-33. Games details were not available at press time. The Lady ‘Cat are now 10-9 overall and 2-5 in league play....
