Rison Advances in Playoffs; Bears Fall on Last-Second TD

    RISON - The Rison Wildcats advanced to the Class 3A quarterfinals against top-ranked Prescott this Friday night at George Walker Field of Champions while the Woodlawn Bears suffered a last-second heartbreaking loss to Izard County in the Class 2A semifinals at Brockwell after erasing a 16-point fourth quarter deficit. Kickoff for the Wildcats' playoff game will be at 7 p.m. The Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) requires all tickets be purchased on line thrugh the GoFan.co app/ website. No window tickets will be available, per AAA guidelines. Rison took advantage of four second half turnovers by the Bismarck Lions to pull away for a 30-19 victory while the Izard County Cougars scored on the final play of the game to pull out a wild 62-56 victory over Woodlawn.  ...
