RISON - The Rison Junior High boys and girls track teams recently competed in the District Track Meet at McGehee.In the girls’ meet, Oivia Mannis was first in discus and second place in shot put; Ana Taylor was second in the 800-meter run; Ryley Hipp was fourth in the 1600-metere run; and Bryleigh Billings was fourth in the 800-meter run.In the boys’ meet, Yukobian Peters was eighth in the long jump; Deion Jones was fifht in the 200-meter dash and triple jump and sixth in the 110 hurdles; MJ Chambers was fifth in the shot put; Aiden McGarity was third in the discus; Payne Prescott won the 300 hurdles; and Bryant Branch was fifth in the 400-meter dash.In the relay events: Logan Mcgarity, Bryant Branch, Isaiah Robinson, and Bryce Daniel’s finished fourth in the 4x400; Weston Phillips, Timmy Howard, Gage Van Duren and Raphael Caldwell finished fifth in the 4x800; Bryant Branch, Deion Jones, Payne Prescott and Michael Kanneh were fourth in the 4x200; and Michael Kaneh, Deion Jones, Payne Prescott and Yukobian Peters were fifth in the 4x100....
