RISON - After being ranked among the top 40 players in Arkansas by Perfect Game earlier this fall, Rison right-handed pitcher and shortstop Noah Matheson has earned another statewide honor.Prep Baseball Report recently ranked Matheson as the No. 40 overall player in Arkansas and the No. 10 shortstop in the state.In its evaluation, Prep Baseball Report highlighted Matheson's athleticism and two-way potential, noting his slender build and quick-twitch actions, with room for added strength and development. On the mound, the report cited his explosive mechanics and efficient velocity, projecting additional growth as he continues to mature physically. At the plate, Matheson was praised for his bat speed and uphill swing, giving him the ability to drive the ball to all fields.
