Wildcats' Bradyn Dupuy Signs UAM Scholarship

RISON - Rison's All-State running back/linebacker Bradyn Dupuy signed a national letter of intent last Friday to play football for the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Dupuy joined his parents, Craig and Laura Dupuy, along with his teammates and school administrators for a signing ceremony last Friday afternoon inside the Rison High School library. A Class 3A All-State selection this past season, Dupuy finished with a career total of 2,240 yards rushing on 440 carries to average 5.0 yards per carry. He scored 34 touchdowns. During his senior season, Dupuy amassed 1,290 yards rushing on 250 carries, scoring 19 touchdowns, making two extra point kicks and converting seven two-point conversions. His best rushing effort came against Dardanelle, where he had 217 yards on 28 attempts. He had six games where he ran for 100 yards or more this year, and his longest run was a 60yard touchdown scamper against Dardanelle. Defensively, he had 30 tackles, two pass break-ups, seven quarterback pressures, four tackles fo losses, two forced fumbles and a blocked pointafter. As a junior, Dupuy had 852 yards rushing on 170 carries with 13 touchdowns. Bradyn will be the second Dupuy to play football for the Boll Weevils. His uncle, Lance Dupuy, was a lineman at UAM in the 1990s. Dupuy said he was recruited as an athlete at UAM and could be used as a running back or linebacker. ...
