WOODLAWN - Tate Hall, Gage Boykin and Logan Clark combined to throw a one-hitter as the Woodlawn Bears picked up their second shutout victory of the season with a 9-0 win over the Class 3A Glen Rose Beavers Monday afternoon at Woodlawn.Hall got the win after giving up one hit and one walk with six strikeouts over the first four innings. He gave up that hit against the first batter of the game.Boykin went to the mound in the fifth, and did not allow a hit or walk over two innings. He had four strikeouts. Clark finished out the seventh without giving up a hit and walking one. Clark had three strikeouts to give the Bears 13 K's overall.Woodlawn built a nice cushion early with three runs in the first. Hollis Holderfield led off with a single, Garrett Weatherford drew a walk, and Hall had another hit to load the bases. Holderfield scored on a passed ball, and Tyner Burris followed with a single that scored the other two runners to make it 3-0.Clark, after singling to lead off the second, scored on a passed ball, and he then had an RBI single in the third to give the Bears a 5-0 lead.Hall had a triple to start the bottom of the fifth, and then scored on Ty Motes' follow-up hit to center.
