Cruisin’ Cleveland County Bike Ride, Car Show June 6

RISON - The fourth annual Cruisin’ Cleveland County Bike Ride is set for Saturday, June 6 at the Pioneer Village at Rison.The ride includes various routes at 21, 29, 44 and 65 mile lengths, plus a revamped 30-mile gravel route.The ride begins at 7 a.m.

County No Longer Accepting Used Tires

RISON - County Judge Donald Triplett informed the Cleveland County Quorum Court Monday night that the county will no longer be accepting used tires at the solid waste transfer station on Hwy. 79 in Rison.

Quorum Court Tables Decision On Cooler For County Coroner

RISON - County Coroner Chuck Valentine told the Cleveland County Quorum Court that the Arkansas State Crime Lab is providing the county with a three door cooler to store the bodies of the deceased, but the county will be responsible for finding a building to put it in.

Cleveland County School Board to Meet on May 18

RISON - The Cleveland County School Board is moving its May school board meeting to 7 p.m. Monday, May 18, at the administration building, the district has announced.The Cleveland County School Board usually meets the second Monday of each month.
