Rison City Utilities Director Gene Norton announced that a smoke test will be conduced on the city’s sewer system Oct. 19-22. Smoke will be forced into the system to detect any possible leaks.
Norton said some residents could experience smoke coming up through sinks and openings inside their home, especially those that do not have pea traps that have not been used in some time.
