Kingsland Receives $500,000 Wastewater Grant

KINGSLAND - Kingsland Mayor Sharon Crosby (third from right with check) recently traveled to the Little Rock to receive a $500,000 Community Development Block grant from Gov. Sarah Sanders (center next to Crosby) in a presentation at the state capitol. The Arkansas Economic Development Commission received more than $8.4 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban in Community Development Block grants that were awarded to 17 communities across the state. These grants, according to the governor’s office, were awarded under the General Assistance set-aside, part of Arkansas’ $17.8 million FY 2023 formula grant allocation, which is designed to provide communities the opportunity to apply for a variety of non-housing public facility and public infrastructure projects.
