RISON - The Rison Wildcats and Woodlawn Bears will both try to extend their seasons this Friday night as they head into second round of the state playoffs.
Rison (9-0), the 6-3A conference champions, will host the Bismarck Lions, the no. 3 seed from the 4-3A conference, at 7 p.m. Friday night at George Walker Field of Champions. The winner will face the Prescott-Salem winner in the quarterfinals next Friday, Nov. 25.
Woodlawn, the no. 2 seed from the South Conference, take on the Izard County Cougars, the North Conference champions, in the Class 2A eight-man semfinal game at Izard County in Brockwell. The winner advance to the Dec. 1 state finals against the Mountain Pine-Rector winner.
The Arkansas Activites Association requires all playoff tickets be purchased online. Tickets can be bought through the gofan.co website or app.
