RISON - The Pioneer Village in Rison is gearing up for a busy summer as the Rison Shine Community Development group kicks off the third season of Food Truck Friday and the Farmers Market. The bi-weekly event officially returns on Friday, June 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is entirely free to the public.Held every other Friday, the event serves as a community gathering spot featuring:• A variety of local food trucks and dedicated dessert vendors.• Live musical entertainment.• A vibrant, local Farmers Market.Scheduled for Friday, June 5 are Rich's Cosmic Eats, G&T BBQ, Q's Cool Cups and The Squeeze Lemonade.Dixie Britton will provide entertainment.Organizers are actively looking to expand their culinary lineup and invite new food trucks to participate.
