RISON - England Packing Company in Rison, which operates as part of International Poultry Breeders, recently donated a piece of property to the Cleveland County School District.

The donation of a 0.87-acre lot of the Harrison Addition, located behind the current Early Head Start facility, was the result of the initiative of Connie Keese, CCSD Head Start’s Facilities/Nutrition and Safety/Transportation Manager.

According to Keese, she first reached out to IPB Headquarters two years ago about the possibility of selling the property to the school district.

Keese said the company ultimately decided to donate the property to the school.

“We’re very excited about this,” she said.

Plans for the property have not been determined at this time.
